APS – 09 November 2021

ALGIERS-Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aimene Benabderrahmane, on sadeTuesday, emphasized the important role of the national community abroad in the development of the country, urging diplomatic missions to address the concerns of this category which includes a large number of experts, researchers and teachers.

Speaking on the second day of the Conference of Heads of Algerian Diplomatic and Consular Missions held at the Palace of Nations (Algiers), Benabderrahmane said that members of the Algerian community, which includes an increasing number of high-level experts, researchers and teachers, has expressed the willingness to bring their knowledge and provide high-level training in Algeria.

As such, the PM stressed “the need to complete the project of the electronic portal dedicated to national experts abroad so that they contribute effectively to the development of scientific and technical fields, new information and communication technologies (ICTs) and artificial intelligence, as well as other areas related to the knowledge economy.

Our community needs to rebuild trust for a voluntary and regular contribution to the process of building the country. I would like to recall that this issue is at the top of the priorities of the programme of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, because the success of any development programme is dependent on the involvement of the elite and citizens,” he said.

The PM urged the Algerian diplomatic missions to “listen to the concerns of the community and accompany the Algerian elite abroad in their areas of activity within organizations and research centers.”
