TUNIS-On the sidelines of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s state visit to Tunisia, Algeria and Tunisia on Wednesday inked 27 cooperation agreements covering several sectors.
The signing ceremony by the ministers of the concerned sectors took place under the chairmanship of the two Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Kais Saied.
The agreements include the sectors of Justice, Interior and Local Authorities, Energy and Mines, SMEs and startups, Pharmaceutical Industries, Environment, Religious Affairs, Education and Vocational Training, Fisheries, Information, and Culture.
President Tebboune was welcomed upon his arrival at Carthage International Airport by President Kais Saied and senior officials.
The warm reception given to President Tebboune reflects the deepness of historical and strategic ties between the two countries and brotherly peoples.
Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Kais Saied listened to the national anthems of the two countries. They greeted a military detachment that honored them while 21 cannon shots sounded in honor of the distinguished guest of Tunisia.
The visit is in line with the actions undertaken by both countries to “further boost the deep relationship of fraternity between the two brother peoples and expand the areas of cooperation to a quality level that meets the common desire of the leaders and the peoples of the two countries,” the presidency of the Republic said Tuesday in a statement.
