The Ambassador of Algeria to Finland, Mr Djamel Moktefi, visited the Black Donuts headquarters in Pirkkala on 8 June 2023. He met Raif Nisa Metdin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Juha Mustajarvi, Project Manager, and Tomi Pekkola, Commercial Director.
The joint venture between the Finnish company BLACK DONUTS and the Algerian company SATEREX, a subsidiary of the private Algerian industrial group IRIS; is devoted to the production of tyres for light vehicles. Production will double in 2023 to 4 million units a year. The investment amounts to 150 million euros. On 11 January 2023, a BLACK DONUTS delegation signed a contract with IRIS to equip a second plant manufacturing tyres for buses and trucks with an annual production capacity of 800,000 units.
On Tuesday 11 July 2023, in Algiers, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune honored thirteen (13) Algerian exporters, including “Saterex-IRIS Company”, which was awarded the “Medal of Honor of Exports”.
